Support our work

Give where the need is named locally.

BADEF projects start with a need named by the community itself, not a plan written elsewhere. A gift here funds that work directly — and you can choose which of the seven programme areas it goes to.

Payments are handled entirely by PayPal. BADEF never sees or stores your card details. You do not need a PayPal account — debit and credit cards are accepted as a guest in most countries.

What a gift does here

BADEF works in Lower Juba, Jubaland and the wider region, and takes part in regional child-protection work through the COMESA process.

  • Gifts can be directed to any of the seven programme areas, or left where most needed.
  • Monthly giving creates a PayPal subscription you can cancel any time from your own PayPal account.
  • PayPal emails you a receipt for every gift.

Where your gift goes

A gift follows the same four steps every project does.

BADEF does not arrive with a plan. Money given here enters the same bottom-up process the organisation runs everywhere else.

01

The need is named

Not by us. Projects emanate from the needs the local community expresses, in their own order of priority.

02

The project is shaped

Developed at district level with the people it serves, so design and delivery answer to the same community.

03

Support is provided

Financial, material and technical assistance, directed at what the community already has rather than around it.

04

Capacity stays local

Self-reliance is the exit condition. A project that leaves nothing behind has not finished.

Questions

Before you give.

If something here is not answered, ask us directly rather than guessing.

The payment itself is completed on PayPal’s systems. This website never receives, handles or stores your card or bank details.

Not for a one-off gift — PayPal accepts debit and credit cards from guests in most countries. Monthly giving does require a PayPal account, because the subscription lives in it.

Yes. The programme area you pick is passed to PayPal as the gift reference, so it appears on BADEF’s record of the payment.

At any time, from the Automatic Payments section of your own PayPal account. You do not need to ask BADEF to action it.

PayPal emails a payment confirmation for every gift, one-off or monthly.
